About our Karate
The style of karate we practice is known as Shotokan.
It is the method originally pioneered by the Okinawan Master Gichin Funakoshi and further developed in Japan by Master Masatoshi Nakayama. The Keith Geyer School of Karate is affiliated to the Shotokan Karate Coalition (SKC).

Our aims and objectives are to foster and advance the art of traditional Shotokan karate.
We aim to educate, motivate, guide and honour our students whilst promoting excellence in karate.
We try to inspire our students through honest training in basic and advanced techniques and encourage interaction by means of courses, gasshukus, seminars, kyu and dan gradings and competitions for adults and children.
Benefits of Karate Training
Correct karate training develops and strengthens you both physically and mentally, producing a highly aware mind in a sound body. It develops concentration and co-ordination, improves reflexes, increases endurance, stengthens the will and aids character development.
Systematic karate training will enhance your health and fitness and help you cope with stress and conflict.
